Trust 360 is a pioneering new scheme spearheaded by Alan Milliner MBE at White Gold Cornwall.
Trust 360 is aimed at 18-24 year olds in trouble with the police and is based at Camborne Police Station Custody. The aim is to reduce re-offending, which – for this age group – stands at a shocking 73%.
“We found that for many youngsters in trouble, we were missing the chance to intervene and tackle the reasons they were re-offending.” explains Alan, a former police officer. “Through SSC we are able to offer a one stop shop for help with employment, education, health and addiction. None of this would be possible without the help and support from Devon and Cornwall Police, to whom we are extremely grateful.”
Ian Thompson from Devon and Cornwall police said :“We are committed to working with partner agencies to reduce crime and lower re-offending rates. Trust 360 will provide early intervention and divert young people from the offending cycle– thus reducing demand on the police and cutting the number of victims of crime.”
The pilot scheme was launched in April and is unique to Cornwall.
