Safer Stronger Consortium (SSC) is seeking to appoint an exceptional individual to the post of Interim Chief Executive Officer with the successful candidate taking on an important leadership role in the voluntary and criminal justice sectors in Cornwall. With rapid change in both sectors both locally and on a national level, this is an exciting moment of development for the consortium. The Interim CEO will play a pivotal role with partners and trustees in driving forward new and existing projects and identifying new opportunities.
The role is part-time (4 days p/wk) to cover the current Chief Executive Officer’s maternity leave and is available for a minimum of 6 months, with the possibility of extension, subject to funding.
This role is being advertised publicly and as an internal secondment opportunity to SSC partner organisations.
Main Purpose of the Role
To manage the day-to-day running of Safer Stronger Consortium and to provide leadership to the charity; maintaining direction and momentum through opportunities, building on team and partner strengths, and implementing effective structures, processes, behaviours and values.
To ensure long term sustainability and opportunity for the consortium and its partners, through effective partnership working, good governance, sound finance and delivery of services.
About the Candidate
The successful candidate should have at least 5 years relevant managerial experience, excellent organisational skills, and have the ability to motivate and inspire others. Flexibility, enthusiasm and a proactive approach to partnership working are much needed qualities in this progressive, challenging and changing environment.
